It was a bright and peaceful morning when little Lala woke up in her soft blanket, yawning and stretching her tiny arms. The room was quiet — no sign of Thuy bustling around like usual. Today, Thuy had to run errands early, and Lala was left to start her morning all by herself.
But instead of fussing or waiting lazily, smart little Lala sat up with a determined look. “I can do this!” she seemed to say with her curious eyes. First, she folded her blanket as best as she could — not perfect, but neat enough. Then she climbed off the bed carefully and tiptoed to the bathroom.
Standing on a small stool, Lala reached for her toothbrush. She squeezed just the right amount of toothpaste and began brushing with a gentle hum, checking herself in the mirror. After rinsing her mouth and patting her face dry, she gave herself a proud little grin.
Next, Lala went to the kitchen and found her prepared breakfast — a banana and a bowl of oatmeal that Thuy had left on the table with a note. She munched quietly, taking small bites, and didn’t even make a mess!
After eating, she tidied up her space, then grabbed her favorite picture book and sat down to wait patiently for Thuy. When Thuy finally walked in, surprised to see everything in order, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Wow, Lala! You did everything all by yourself?” Thuy asked, smiling brightly.
Lala nodded proudly and hugged her. It was a special moment — proof that her little monkey was growing up, not just smart but independent and thoughtful too.
That morning, Lala showed that even when alone, she knew how to take care of herself with love, responsibility, and heart.
