It was a bright, breezy morning when Uncle Phong took Bibi on a special trip to the beach. The salty air, soft waves, and golden sand filled Bibi with excitement. He ran across the shore, giggling, until Uncle Phong called him over to begin their little adventure — exploring sea creatures hiding along the coast.
Their first stop was near some rocks, where Uncle Phong gently pointed to a small crab scuttling sideways. “Look, Bibi,” he said, “this little one has claws and walks differently.” Bibi crouched down, tilting his head. “Ooh?” he squeaked, watching the crab disappear into its hole. He poked the sand curiously, unsure if it was safe to follow!
Next, they came across a cluster of sea snails, slowly crawling with their colorful spiral shells. Bibi touched one and quickly pulled his finger back when it retracted inside. “Eh?” he blinked in surprise, clearly confused by how the snail “hid” so fast.
Then came the starfish, lying still on a rock. “Is it alive?” Bibi seemed to wonder. He gently poked it and then looked at Uncle Phong, puzzled by its lack of movement.
As they continued, Bibi saw jellyfish washed ashore, tiny fish darting near the tide, and even strange patterns in the wet sand made by burrowing clams. Each creature left him more curious — and a little more confused.
Uncle Phong smiled patiently, explaining every detail in simple ways Bibi could understand. “The beach is full of life, Bibi. Even if it looks different from us, it all matters.”
By the end of the day, Bibi wasn’t just confused — he was fascinated. Though he didn’t have all the answers, he had learned that the world was full of wonders waiting to be discovered… one beach walk at a time.
