The sun had just risen over the peaceful countryside, casting a golden glow over the lush green vegetable garden. Bibi, the little monkey with a big heart, was already wide awake. Today, he had an important job — helping Uncle Phong in the garden!
With a tiny straw hat on his head and a small basket in his hand, Bibi eagerly ran toward the squash patch. Uncle Phong had taught him how to spot the ripe ones — firm, bright, and just the right size. Bibi gently tugged on a plump green squash, wobbling backward as it came loose. “Ooh ooh!” he squealed proudly, placing it carefully in his basket.
He moved from row to row, picking each squash with care, pausing now and then to chase butterflies or sniff the sweet garden air. After the basket was full, Bibi set it near the porch and ran to grab the watering can.
Though it was heavy, he managed to lift it with both hands, wobbling a little as he made his way back to the garden beds. With a determined face, Bibi began watering the vegetables, making sure each plant got just enough. He loved watching the soil darken and the leaves sparkle with droplets.
When Uncle Phong returned from the market, he was amazed. “You’ve done a great job, Bibi!” he said, patting him on the head. Bibi smiled wide, his fur slightly damp and hands a little muddy, but his heart full of pride.
That day, Bibi didn’t just help with chores — he showed how small hands, when filled with love and effort, can make a big difference. The garden bloomed brighter, not just from water and sun, but from the joyful energy of one caring little monkey.
