It was a bright, sunny afternoon — the perfect day for fun. Lala, Chip, and Xuka gathered under the big mango tree in the yard, their favorite meeting spot. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves above them as they sat on a soft blanket with a colorful basket of fresh fruit in the middle.
Lala clapped her hands excitedly as Thuy brought out slices of juicy watermelon, ripe bananas, sweet mango, and crunchy apples. “Let’s eat and play!” Lala squealed.
Before digging in, the three friends played a lively game of tag around the tree. Chip, the fastest of them all, kept darting ahead with a playful grin, while Xuka giggled every time she nearly caught Lala. Their cheerful laughter filled the air, attracting birds and butterflies that fluttered nearby.
After the fun, they plopped down around the fruit basket, faces flushed and eyes twinkling. Lala carefully picked a slice of watermelon and held it up to Chip’s mouth. “For you!” she said sweetly. Chip took a bite and offered her a banana in return. Xuka shared mango pieces with both of them, her hands sticky but her heart full.
They chatted in their own playful way, sometimes mimicking one another’s silly faces or making each other laugh with small jokes. Though they didn’t speak human language, the love and friendship between them was perfectly clear.
As the sun began to lower in the sky, the fruit basket was nearly empty, and the three friends sat back, full and content. Thuy watched from afar, smiling at the sight of her happy little monkeys.
It was a day filled with simple joy, sweet fruit, and the purest kind of love — the kind only true friendship can bring.
